该片讲述的是男主人公是一个专业水平非常厉害的电子工程学家，在一家高科技公司里面研究一个秘密，因为这项工作十分的重要，所以公司许诺给他40亿美金的酬劳，然而在这五年的工作完成之后，男主人公并没有得到这一份报酬，却意外的昏迷，等他再一次醒来的时候，所有的记忆已经不存在，而这家科技公司给了他一些乱七八糟的信封，并且告诉他曾经是他自己亲口答应不要酬劳。
