《假面骑士Kiva》以两条时间线为线索，讲述围绕着父子之间发生的故事，电视剧在感情方面的表述较为细腻，假面骑士的造型则来自蝙蝠和万圣节的南瓜灯。故事围绕着主角红渡和他的父亲红音也两个人展开，观众带来全新的体验。电视剧里的Kiva拥有四种不同的形态，分别是吸血鬼、狼人、半鱼人和科学怪人，他的变身腰带附有六支笛子，能够帮助Kiva使用必杀技，随时转化形态，甚至召唤城堡和摩托车。
