"The Sideburns Are Not Begonia Red" tells the story of Shang Xirui, a famous Peking Opera actress, and Cheng Fengtai, a passionate patriotic businessman, who met because of Peking Opera , marching side by side in the troubled times of Liyuan and war, firmly believe in revitalizing the national quintessence of Peking Opera, and finally join hands to resist the cruel fate.
