为了给王母娘娘庆祝寿辰，在天宫负责编制彩云的织女下凡去了人间寻找色彩，有了人间的色彩便能织出色彩斑斓的布匹。不过人家的很多庄家因为色彩被织女取走都变得枯萎死掉了，导致了很多庄稼人绝收无法交租被惩罚，这也叫织女十分愧疚自责。织女的还有喜鹊见一个农户黄阿牛因为无法交租而苦恼，于是偷偷动用了财神比干的财库来帮助黄阿牛，但是被比干知道后边将喜鹊告上了天庭，因此被王母娘娘责罚喜鹊失去了功德珠，这也叫喜鹊对比干产生了憎恨。而一直在凡间的织女和黄阿牛日久生情两人慢慢走到了一起，结果被天上的王母娘娘知道后将织女给找回天庭责罚，为了叫黄阿牛忘掉织女便动用了神力将他的记忆全都洗掉，这也叫织女十分痛苦，看着心爱的黄阿牛受此折磨却无能为力。
