2001年，泰国上映了一部引人深思的情色剧情电影《晚娘》，由朗斯·尼美毕达执导，钟丽缇、桑提苏克普罗米斯里、苏维尼潘雅玛瓦特、伊卡拉特撒苏克等主演。影片以男主人公Jan的命运为线索，讲述了他从童年到成年的遭遇，以及内心充斥着欲望和报复的阴影

Jan在出生时，母亲因难产而不幸离世。父亲相信这个孩子带来了他深爱的妻子的死亡，从小就对Jan进行惩罚和虐待。更甚的是，父亲还以“强暴同父异母妹妹”的不实指控将Jan赶出了家门。
