The anime "The World Where Love Is Forbidden" is set in the future of Japan. In this twisted society, every teen gets a government-assigned partner at the age of 16 as the only legal romantic interest.

The protagonist, Yukari Neshima (voiced by Ryota Aisaka), is an ordinary fifteen-year-old girl. He is a young boy, but he hides a secret that violates the rules. Since elementary school, he has silently liked a girl named Takasaki Misaki (voiced by Hanazawa Coriander). However, in this society where there is no freedom of love, their feelings are expressly forbidden.

The government assigned Nejima Yukari a perfect girlfriend Sanada Rilina (voiced by Yui Makino), however, when Lilina discovered the relationship between Nejima and Misaki, she decided to choose to support them and help them secretly.

This anime delves into love by showing innocent love that defies the rules power and social bondage. In the forbidden world, the relationship between Nejima Yukari and Takasaki Misaki is not tolerated, but they still choose to stick to their hearts and bravely defy the ban for pure love.
