节目分为“喜剧盛典”和“喜番喜剧人”两个部分。通过对经典喜剧的重新诠释，结合创意表演和真人秀等形式，挖掘了《欢乐喜剧人》背后未曾展示的故事，包括舞台上令人难忘的金句和桥段，喜剧人们7年来的成长瞬间，以及喜剧人们的突破尝试等。在紧凑而错综复杂的情境设定中，制造和引导笑点。
