该片讲述的是在30年前的一桩杀人案被市话剧团改编成为了舞台剧，而男主人公作为这件杀人案的主人公就是重提，让他的生活发生了许多的波澜，男主人公一边帮助剧团整理各种道具，一边寻找律师，翻案准备还自己的清白，而且他还需要调和自己与妻子和女儿之间的关系，生活让他变得非常的难受，但是为了证明自己的清白，只能够默默的忍受，同时寻找律师帮助。
