"Blood on the Street (Cantonese)" is an action film produced by Golden Princess Film Production Co., Ltd., directed by John Woo, starring Tony Leung, Jacky Cheung, Li Zixiong, Ren Dahua, etc. The film premiered in Hong Kong on August 17, 1990.

The film tells the story of three young Hong Kong youths Xi Rong, Ah B and Fai Tsai who grew up in slums and grow up together and love each other as brothers. Although their families are poor, their young hearts have never lost their vision and fantasy for the future. In order to raise money for Ah B's wedding, they make their own plans. However, in the process, Hui Tsai was kidnapped due to loan sharking, and they decided to flee to Vietnam.

During the journey in Vietnam, the three encountered various difficulties and dangers. The situation in Saigon was turbulent, and they were involved in the assassination of Vietnamese dignitaries by the Viet Cong. Xirong decides to desperately earn some money so he can leave Vietnam. In the process, they met a distant relative, A Le, a professional killer. A Le told them that the Vietnamese bully Liang Yuansheng had a gold deal in the nightclub, so they planned to grab the gold with A Le.

The gold transaction was not as simple as they imagined, and they fell into a fierce battle. In the process, Ah B almost died in order to save a Hong Kong female singer Chen Xiuqing. The film showcases their adventures and challenges in Vietnam, while also revealing the true meaning of friendship and courage.
