《德鲁亚加之塔～乌鲁克之盾～》是一部根据网络游戏改编而成的电影，讲述了主人公吉尔勇闯迷宫塔进行冒险的故事。

故事中，为了拯救被恶魔德鲁亚加抓走的恋人卡依，吉尔成为了黄金骑士，并踏上了60层的德鲁亚加之塔，与各种怪物进行战斗，一步步向塔的顶层前进。这是一段幻想般的冒险故事，充满了惊险与挑战。

《德鲁亚加之塔》自上世纪八十年代被开发以来，就备受玩家的追捧。而这次的动画电影则以原作的80年代世界为舞台，创作了全新的故事。

动画片的监督由千明孝一担任，他曾指导过动画片《青之六号》和《Last Exile》。动画构成则请来了小说《全金属狂潮！》动画版系列的指导，贺东招二担任。人设的设计由原画家白亚右月担任，他因动画《爆裂天使》而广受欢迎。同时，当年主持动画制作的远藤雅伸也将参与作品的监修。
